Art Unitas

Η ομάδα των εικαστικών ART UNITAS ιδρύθηκε το 2022 στην Αθήνα, με αφορμή τη συνάντηση για τη δημιουργία εικαστικών έργων και την υλοποίηση projects με κοινό άξονα τη συνεργατικότητα και την αξιοποίηση της δυναμικής της. Αντίρροπες έννοιες, η αναγκαία απομόνωση του καλλιτέχνη και η ιδιότητα του ομαδικού, συμπίπτουν ώστε να βρίσκονται λύσεις σε κοινά ερωτήματα.

Στην ART UNITAS συνυπάρχουν δέκα εικαστικοί με διαφορετικές μορφές τέχνης: γλυπτική, ζωγραφική, φωτογραφία, κεραμική και εγκαταστάσεις. Με πολλούς τρόπους έκφρασης και ένα όραμα η ART UNITAS δημιουργεί έργα αναζητώντας την εξωστρέφεια των κοινών συναισθημάτων και ιδεών των καλλιτεχνών.

Ο σκοπός της ART UNITAS είναι να αναζητήσει τις συγγενείς ερωτήσεις και τους δεσμούς μεταξύ των εικαστικών, τον τόπο όπου συναντώνται με διαφορετική μορφή οι απαντήσεις τους, με αποτέλεσμα την εύρεση ενός και μόνου πεδίου όπου μπορούν να συνυπάρξουν, καθώς η ατομική ενδοσκόπηση απαιτεί και οδηγεί ταυτόχρονα στο κοινό, πανανθρώπινο και ομοούσιο.

ART UNITAS, an artist collective created in 2022 in Athens, resulted from the need to exploit and define the boundaries of collaboration while creating art works and at the same time work on projects of shared aims. The conflicting notions of the artist’s wish for isolation and the nature of group work concur to provide the appropriate solutions to questions posed by the group.

The group consists of ten visual artists engaged in many fields of artistic expression: sculpture, painting, ceramics, photography, and installations. ART UNITAS employing these creative means of expression works in search of an expressive outlet for their emotions and ideas.

The aim of the group is to explore issues of shared interests, identify the bonds between the artists, and bring to the fore the areas where their answers overlap; what they try to achieve is to find how they can coexist and also retain their individuality and freedom for introspection, a prerequisite that can lead not only to what we all share, but also to whatever has united humanity.
